The Lavatories & Water/Waste Systems division of Rockwell Collins is the sole source lavatory provider for the Boeing 737 MAX program. Our highly dedicated team is situated next to Paine Field in Everett, Washington. From this state of the art manufacturing and engineering facility, the Lavatories & Water/Waste Systems supports its global airline customer base as well as the OEM.

As a leader in the aerospace industry, we have a number of exciting positions available right now, including a Manufacturing Operations Manager in our Lavatories & Water/Waste Systems business located in Everett, WA.


Reporting to the Senior Manager of Operations, the Operations Manager develops and implements activities in production area(s) to ensure a safe work environment, meet production goals, achieve quality and cost objectives, develop and manage exempt and nonexempt associates involved in production, assembly, subassembly or fabrication operations by performing the following duties.


+ Reviews, establishes and prioritizes production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply and personnel resources; manages activities through subordinate supervisors to maximize production objectives, maintain quality and attain output requirements that are consistent with cost and delivery conditions.

+ Informs assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules.

+ Establishes and modifies operational methods and processes by recommending changes in materials, equipment, and procedures; recommends departmental standards and practices.

+ Coordinates production activities with other functions such as materials, marketing, new product development, customer service, manufacturing engineering, quality inspection, among others.

+ Plans and administers procedures and budgets; makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.

+ Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas; maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and other manufacturing aspects.


+ Manages through subordinate supervisors the coordination of the activities of a section(s) or department(s) with responsibility for results in terms of costs, quality, methods, delivery requirements, and associates.

+ Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's guidelines, procedures and policies plus applicable laws.

+ Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining associates; addressing complaints and resolving problems.


+ Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience and a minimum of eight years relevant experience

+ Shop Floor Management Experience

+ Able to lead and coordinate multi-functional team projects

+ Substantial practical knowledge and understanding of products, manufacturing processes, and production support requirements

+ Computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint)

+ Strong communication skills

+ Familiar with MRP & Manufacturing Execution Systems (ie: SAP)


+ Lean manufacturing application (including: PDCA, value stream optimization,A3 and lean leadership)

+ Aerospace manufacturing experience
